About this tour

Private Bursa day tour for families: an 8+1 VIP minivan and an Arabic-speaking driver, away from the crowds, with Cumalıkızık and the Uludağ cable car.

The vehicle is reserved for your family or private group only and never shared. An Arabic-speaking driver stays with you all day, and the minivan seats eight passengers. If you want prayer stops, a child seat (depends on the operator) or a pace set around the children, tell the operator on WhatsApp when you book. The price shown is per vehicle, not per person: the vehicle and driver are reserved for your group alone. It includes road and bridge tolls, fuel and the driver; cable car tickets and entrance fees are not included, and meals usually are not. The tour runs a full day, with the exact length set by the operator when you book on WhatsApp; because the vehicle is private to your family you can book any date you like.

📍 Popular Bursa stops (agree your family's programme with the operator on WhatsApp):

  • Cumalıkızık village
  • Bursa cable car up Uludağ
  • Grand Mosque (Ulu Cami)
  • Covered Bazaar and Koza Han
  • Tophane
  • Bursa city drive

Tour programme

Times are approximate and shift with traffic, season and your preferences.

  1. Morning

    Pickup

The tour starts in Bursa, where your family's private 8+1 VIP minivan picks you up. Stops depend on the operator: agree them, the pickup point and the time on WhatsApp when you book; the order below is Bursa's classic day route.

  2. ~1 hour

    Cumalıkızık village

A 700-year-old Ottoman village about 10 km east of the city and part of the UNESCO World Heritage site 'Bursa and Cumalıkızık'. Cobbled lanes, painted timber houses and garden cafés serving village breakfast.

  3. ~2 hours

    Cable car up Uludağ

The cable car runs from Teferrüç station via Kadıyayla to Sarıalan on Uludağ, about 20–30 minutes each way. At the top: pine forest, picnic areas and views over the Bursa plain, with snow in winter. The cable car ticket is not included in the price.

  4. Midday

    Lunch break: İskender kebab

A lunch stop in the city where İskender kebab was invented. Lunch is usually not included in the price, so confirm on WhatsApp when booking; you can ask the driver for a family-friendly restaurant serving halal meat.

  5. ~45 min

    Grand Mosque (Ulu Cami)

Completed in 1399, the 20-domed mosque is known for the ablution fountain inside its prayer hall and the calligraphy covering its walls. You can pray here if it coincides with midday prayer; sightseeing is outside prayer times.

  6. ~1 hour

    Covered Bazaar and Koza Han

The historic bazaar right next to Ulu Cami and Koza Han, the silk caravanserai of 1491. The best-known place to buy silk scarves, Bursa towels and kestane şekeri, the city's candied chestnuts.

  7. ~45 min

    Tophane

The tombs of Osman Gazi, founder of the Ottoman state, and his son Orhan Gazi, the clock tower and a wide view over the city. The day's photo stop.

  8. Late afternoon

    City drive and drop-off

After a short drive through the city the vehicle takes you to the agreed drop-off point. The order of stops can change with traffic, cable car status and prayer times.

  • Arabic-speaking driver
  • Road and motorway/bridge tolls
  • Fuel

Not included in the price

Meeting point and location

Departs from: Osmangazi, Bursa

The tour starts in Bursa because the operator is based in Bursa; if you are staying in Istanbul, look on Voyago for Bursa tours run by Istanbul-based operators, which start from Istanbul. The pickup point in Bursa and the time are agreed with the operator on WhatsApp when you book; include the address where you are staying in Bursa in your message.

Important information

  • Cable car tickets and museum or site entrance fees are not included, and lunch usually is not, so confirm on WhatsApp when you book. Child seats, a guide and the exact list of stops depend on the operator; ask if the description does not make them clear.
  • Child seats depend on the operator; if you need one, ask on WhatsApp before you book and give the child's age.
  • If you want prayer stops, tell the operator on WhatsApp when you book; Ulu Cami and mosques along the way are suitable. In mosques women cover their hair and everyone covers shoulders and knees.
  • Most restaurants in Turkey serve halal meat. If you prefer a venue that does not serve alcohol, just tell the driver.
  • Uludağ can be 8–10 °C colder than the city, so pack spare clothes and jackets for the children. A folding pushchair is easiest on the cable car and in the bazaar.
  • The cable car runs year-round but can stop for maintenance or in strong wind. Snow and ski season is usually December to March, and the top is much colder than the city, so bring a layer even in summer.

We recommend bringing:

  • Comfortable clothes and shoes
  • Sunscreen and a hat
  • Camera

The vehicle is private to your family, which makes the day easier with children; send your wishes on breaks and pace to the operator on WhatsApp when you book. Bursa's classic stops are close together and the cable car is most children's favourite part. Cumalıkızık's stone lanes can be hard going with a pushchair; a baby carrier helps for short walks.
