Turkey airport transfer questions

An airport transfer means a private car and driver reserved before your flight at a fixed price. The driver waits in the arrivals hall with a name board, tracks your flight number, and the pick-up shifts automatically if the plane is late. The price is locked when you book: taxes, tolls and parking are included and traffic does not change it. Voyago serves Istanbul (IST, SAW), Antalya (AYT), Bodrum (BJV), Dalaman (DLM), Izmir (ADB), Cappadocia (NAV, ASR) and Trabzon (TZX).

Questions on this page

Where do I find the driver at the airport?

The driver waits in the arrivals hall after baggage reclaim, holding a board with your name — not in the car park or outside. Your confirmation describes the exact meeting point and gives the driver's contact number. If you come through customs and cannot see the board, calling that number is enough.

If my flight is delayed, do I lose my transfer?

No. The flight number you give at booking is monitored; if the plane lands late the pick-up moves to the new landing time at no extra charge. That is why entering the flight number correctly matters. If your flight changed entirely, just send us the new number.

Which vehicle type should I choose for my group?

Choose by passenger count and luggage volume: a sedan for 1-3 people with medium bags, a minivan for 4-6 people or large suitcases, and a minibus for bigger families and groups. Each vehicle in the results lists its passenger and luggage capacity; noting bulky items such as a pushchair or ski gear in the booking makes sure the right car is sent.

Are child seats provided, and do they cost extra?

Child seats and boosters are provided free of charge when requested during booking. Just state the children's ages and how many; the right seat is fitted before the car arrives. Turkish law requires children under a certain age and height to travel in an appropriate seat, so it matters that the request is on the booking.

Is booking a transfer in advance better than taking a taxi?

Booking ahead differs in two concrete ways: the price is locked at booking and is unaffected by traffic, and a car and driver are assigned to your flight. A metered ride varies with congestion, cars are harder to find late at night, and you cannot guarantee luggage capacity in advance. For families and passengers with many bags the difference is largest there.

Are transfers available late at night or very early morning?

Yes — transfers run around the clock, including flights that land overnight and departures in the small hours. Public transport thins out at night, so a pre-assigned car is often the only practical option. Where a night surcharge applies, it is already inside the final price shown at booking.

Can I book an intercity transfer?

Yes. Beyond airport-to-hotel runs, private intercity transfers are booked at a fixed price too — Antalya to Kaş, Istanbul to Bursa, or Kayseri to the Cappadocia hotels, for example. On long routes you can note a rest stop in the booking; if you want an extra stop on the way, the price is updated before you confirm.

Is there a luggage limit?

The limit is the vehicle's physical capacity, and each vehicle in the results states how many large suitcases and cabin bags it takes. If your luggage exceeds that, pick the next class up. For non-standard items — a bicycle, golf bag or skis — say so in the booking: the right vehicle can only be assigned if it is known in advance.

Can I cancel my transfer booking?

Private transfers can be cancelled free of charge up to 24 hours before the pick-up time. Just tell us through phone, WhatsApp or email with your booking reference. Inside 24 hours, the terms in the refund policy apply.
